Overview of Adaptive Test

" computer-adaptive testing (CAT) is a method for administering tests that adapts to the examinee's ability level.

In simple words, adaptive test (in this site) is:

• a test where questions are generated by (computer) system based on previous question and answer.
• the next question will be more difficult if current current question answered correctly
• the next question will be easier if current current question answered wrong
• the system automatically calibrates the difficulty level of the question each time you answer a question. It means, if someone can answer a question, then the difficulty level of that question will be lowered and 'considered' to be an easy question for next test taker.
